Welcome to Sunnyside

The Sunnyside neighbourhood in Calgary is a small enclave of roughly 2500 residences. It is an eclectic inner-city community with a strong community spirit and a wide mix of dwelling styles. From lowrise apartments to townhomes, duplexes and single family homes and century homes, there is something for everyone. Centered in the community is the Sunnyside School, offering a K-6 program:

The community bounded to the South by Memorial Drive and the Bow River and to the North by McHugh Bluff was greatly impacted with the floods of 2013. The city of Calgary offers an interactive map that details flood information and can be found HERE.

With direct access to the downtown core over the Peace Bridge, and Kensington/Hillhurst’s main street on 10th and Kensington every amenity is at your fingertips. River pathways, the ridge in Crescent Heights and Rosedale offer beautiful walking and biking options and Princes Island Park across the bridge provide an enviable mix of outdoor activity within minutes of your doorstep.
