The neighborhood is loosely divided into two sections, East of 142nd is Valleyview with views of the North Saskatchewan River Valley, and West of 142nd is Parkview proper. The community is almost completely comprised of single-family dwellings. Construction of most homes took place in the 1960s. The neighborhood’s desirability and close proximity to numerous amenities and schools are driving newer infill development. There are two schools serving the neighborhood – Parkview School which features a K-9 program and St. Rose Junior High School, a Catholic School.
