Compare these stats year over year to 2019 where we saw 67 luxury homes in Edmonton sell over $700,000. This represents a 26% decrease over 2019 levels for the same month.
In contrast, in the Rural Markets surrounding the Edmonton CMA region, which includes Rural Sturgeon County, Rural Strathcona County, Rural Parkland County, Rural Wetaskiwin County, Rural Leduc County, and Rural St. Paul County 22 luxury homes sold in August of 2019. 2020 saw an increase to 37 Rural Luxury Homes sales a 60 percent increase. The most expensive rural home sold was in Winterridge Estates. The property was on the market for 261 days and sold for $2,600,000 which was 7.7 below the list price.
